We are the official California Young Democrats and Californian College Democrats chartered organization at the University of California, Riverside.
Our mission at the College Democrats of UC Riverside is to promote Democratic values, engage students in the political process, and build a community of informed, active voters and future leaders.
We’re committed to advocacy, voter education, and supporting Democratic candidates while fostering inclusivity and activism on our campus. Together, we aim to make a lasting impact by empowering our peers to create meaningful change.
At the College Democrats of UC Riverside, our organization operates under two foundational governing documents: our Constitution and our Bylaws. These documents provide the framework for how we function as a cohesive, democratic organization.
The Constitution outlines our core principles, mission, and organizational structure, serving as the guiding document that defines who we are and what we stand for. It establishes the roles and responsibilities of our leadership, membership criteria, and the overall vision that drives our efforts.
The Bylaws complement the Constitution by detailing the procedural rules and operational guidelines that ensure our organization runs efficiently and transparently. They cover specific processes such as elections, committee structures, event planning, and amendments to our governing documents.
Together, these two documents ensure accountability, transparency, and alignment with our mission as we work to promote Democratic values, engage the campus community, and empower students to take action.
