Endorsements

The College Democrats at UC Riverside (CDUCR) are proud to engage in the democratic process by endorsing candidates who share our commitment student-centered policy. Our endorsement process is designed to be transparent, values-driven, and accessible, centering the voices and priorities of young voters and the UCR community.

Our Endorsement Philosophy

CDUCR endorses candidates who demonstrate:

1. A commitment to democratic values

2. A record or platform advancing equity, inclusion, and justice

3. Meaningful engagement with students, young people, and marginalized communities

4. Alignment with issues impacting college students, including affordability, education access, housing, healthcare, and civic participation

Endorsements are not automatic and are evaluated through a structured review process led by our Executive Board and endorsement committee.

Endorsement Process Overview

Complete Questionnaire

Candidates seeking CDUCR’s endorsement must complete our official candidate questionnaire.

Submit Questionnaire

After completing our endorsement questionnaire, candidates must submitted the completed form to our Endorsement Submission Form. The questionnaire and form will be due at the following working deadlines:

CYD/CADEM Convention Endorsement: February 1, 2026

2026 Midterms/Democratic Primary: May 1, 2026

Associated Students at UC Riverside: TBD

Review & Evaluation

Responses are reviewed by CDUCR Leadership and additional members through our endorsement review committee.

Candidate Engagement (if applicable)

Some candidates may be invited to interviews, forums, or meetings with CDUCR leadership or members.

Decision & Notification

Endorsement decisions are finalized by CDUCR according to our bylaws and communicated directly to candidates.
